The side clash with the Dominican Republic in Rotterdam next week and will be keen to bounce back after a few years of underperforming.
“The World League is an expensive competition, but after consultation with the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) and the National Olympic Committee and the national federation, we decided to register for this competition,” said Michel Everaert, sports director at Nevobo.
Coach Edwin Benne was delighted with the decision.
“The team put on a great performance at the European League and is ready to go perform at the highest level,” he said.
Before tackling the Dominican Republic, the Dutch will have three warm-up games against European rivals Finland this Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
