GP 2016: Japanese crew takes measures of precaution in Rio

Zika Virus is a serious threat for everyone who is coming to Brazil, but the Japanese women’s volleyball team came prepared…



Japan arrived in Rio to participate at the FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix Pool B, while their trainings start on a quite unusual way.

Before the team enters the court to start the training, Japanese technical staff use a special mosquito repellent which they spread across the gym. Only then, the players start with the warm-up.

The Japanese squad obviosly wants to take all measures of precaution against the infamous Zika Virus.
