On August 26, the Nepal Volleyball Association organised a Youth Volleyball Festival in the capital, Kathmandu, to attract youths to the game.

About 300 players under 15 years of age participated in the festival, held with programme support from the FIVB designed to promote volleyball in the least developed countries. The festival held at Khulla Manch finished with a series of matches between players split up into teams of four.
