Those are Al Arabi (Qatar) and Sarmayeh Bank (Iran) who will fight for the prestigious trophy in the big finals of the Asian Club Championship 2016.
Al Arabi (Qatar) defeated Toyota Gosei Trefuerza (Japan) in the semis after a 5-set thriller – 3:2 (25:19, 19:25, 23:25, 28:26, 15:9). Japanese crew had the lead of 9:8 in the tie-break, but then the squad from Qatar made a stunning 7:0 run and clinched the decisive set by 15:9.
In the second semifinal match, Sarmayeh Bank (Iran) outplayed Shanghai Golden Age (China) in straight sets – 3:0 (28:26, 25:16, 25:21).
The final match is scheduled for Wednesday, August 31 at 19:00 (CET).
