“We were so close in the second set, maybe if we had tied the match things would be different, but now we have to focus, we have the next day off,“ said Argenta‘s captain Gonzalo Quiroga.
“It was a good match, and despite the 3-0 score, it doesn’t speak for itself because it was difficult, all three sets were tough and we still are looking forward to improve in any way”, Thiago Veloso, the Brazilian captain stated.
“We tried to react on the second set, but unfortunately Brazil didn’t let us play as we wanted.”
“Their attack affected us and attacking is alaways a key factor in volleyball” Argentina‘s head coach Fabian Muraco mentioned.
Brazil’s coach Leonardo Carvalho, was satisfied with the result. “Matches against Argentina are always interesting, I feel satisfied. But the most important thing is to play one day at a time, and in our case we are also focused in the South American qualification for the U21 World Championship,” he remarked.
Brazil will face Canada this friday 28, while Argentina has a day off in the tournament.
