The 22-year-old American will replace Brazilian Mariana Nardi, who returned to her home country for personal reasons. Thus, Gran Canaria have finally found a new setter, after making a huge commotion among volleyball fans around the world with a fake news of signing legendary ’Fofão’.

University of Texas senior Collins had just finished NCAA campaign as runner-up, losing the Championship Final to Stanford where she posted 46 assists and 11 digs.

Collins finished her collegiate career with 3,687 assists, the fourth-best mark in Texas Volleyball history, entering the 2016 AVCA All-America Second Team and 2015 and 2016 All-Big 12 First Team.
