Al Arabi outplayed Al Shamal in straight sets 25-11, 25-21, 25-23 after one hour and 28 minutes. German attacker Gyorgy Grozer was the top scorer with 17 points followed by Mohamed Ibrahim and American Taylor Sander with 7 points each.
In the semi-final series (the best of three) they will play against Police SC and the first match is scheduled for Saturday.
In the second match of the day Police SC defeated Al Gharafa also 3-0 (25-21, 25-14, 25-19) after 65 minutes. Mads Hartmann Ditlevsen scored 14 points while Thijs Ter Horst 12 points.
In the second semifinals Al Rayyan will face El Jaish.
