Rob Bontje, Nico Freriks, Robbert Horstink and Yannick van Harskamp have already announced the retirement from the national team but this will be their farewell game.
The initiative comes from Gido Vermuelen, who wants to thank these four former players:
“I want to make it a tradition to give the boys a well-deserved farewell game,” says Verumuelen.
The Dutch team will play two friendly games against Italy (Friday 19:00 CET and Saturday 16:00 CET). Fans, it’s all up to you know. You have the opportunity to see these players for the last time in a jersey of the Netherlands.
