Philippine Superliga: Preliminary Round is over, it’s time for play-off

With today’s two matches, the Preliminary Round of the Philippines Superliga Grand Prix 2018 is finished.

Cignal HD Spikers, although they played without two important players, they score their 4th victory and finished the Preliminary Round at the fourth place. In the last match of the 8th round, they defeated Victoria Sports UST in the straight sets 26-24, 25-16, 25-14. The MVP of the match was Alexis Mathews with 19 points (13 attacks and 6 blocks!).

On the other side, Iriga City suffered defeat from F2 Logistics 0-3 (11-25, 17-25, 16-25) and the today’s winners scored the seventh victory and jumped to the leading position with 22 points.

On December 5 will start quarterfinals of the championship and the winners of that matches will qualify for the semifinals which are scheduled for December 9.

Match for the bronze medal will be played on December 12 while the finals will be played in three matches, December 12, 14 and 16. On December 16 will be also organized the Awarding and Closing Ceremony.
