VERVA Warszawa ORLEN Paliwa defeated Cuprum Lubin in an advanced match of Round 12 of the 2019/20 PlusLiga regular season to finish 2019 as the leaders in the charts. The team from the Polish capital has played one match more than the vice-leaders and also the champions Grupa Azoty ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle. Both have 33 points.
Warszawa head coach Andrea Anastasi gave the world champion Piotr Nowakowski a day off but his team didn’t have too many difficulties to surpass rivals today: 3-0 (25-13, 25-22, 25-23).
