A bronze medalist at the 2018 FIVB World Championship, Kaiyi, is the new member of the Polish vice-champions Budowlanych. The 28-year-old outside hitter finished the season by winning the bronze medal in the Chinese Championship with Beijing.

Budowlani President stated for club social media that the Łódź-based side was interested in signing Brazilian Regiane Bidias (Bartoccini Fortinfissi Perugia, Italy) and Serbian Bojana Milenkovuć (Savino Del Bene Scandicci, Italy) but have chosen Kaiyi, who will become the first-ever Chinese player to perform in the Liga Siatkówki Kobiet.
