Grupa Azoty Chemik Police will compete in the playoffs of the 2019/20 Liga Siatkówki Kobiet as the top seed. In the last round, 22nd round, they defeated E.Leclerc Radomka Radom who came to the match with only nine players in the roster, in straight sets and recorded the eighth win in a row including all competition: 3-0 (25-20, 25-18, 25-23) Chemik collected 60 points in 22 matches and suffered only one defeat. Cuban Wilma Salas top-scored for the winning side in today’s match with 20 points. Oliwia Bałuk notched 11 points for Radomka.

This outcome disappointed the players of Developres SkyRes Rzeszów. The team coached by the Frenchman Stéphane Antiga did their share of work and took all three points against Enea PTPS Piła but due to Chemik’s win, they failed to reach the top spot for the playoffs and remained second-placed. Despite recording 13 successes in a row in the league and having only one defeat, just like Chemik, Developres collected one point less than the leaders.

Seven out of eight playoff participants are known by now. The eighth-placed BKS STAL Bielsko-Biała and ninth-placed Energa MKS Kalisz will decide on the last spot for the playoffs in the mutual encounter on March 2.
