DPD Legionovia Legionowo kept the perfect record in the 2020/21 Polish women’s volleyball Championship.

In a clash between the two teams that started the 2020/21 TAURON Liga regular season in completely opposite ways, DPD Legionovia Legionowo beat Grot Budowlani Łódź. They achieved a 3-0 victory, making the key breakthroughs at the end of each of the sets, partially 29-27, 25-22, 25-22.

Spaniard Jessica Rivero and Olivia Różański top-scored for the winning side with 15 points apiece. Maja Tokarska made 5 blocks. American Veronica Jones-Perry tallied 21 points for the losing team, while Maria Stenzel had 74 % reception (30 % perfect). Legionovia share the top spot in the charts with E.LECLERC MOYA Radomka (3-0 and 8 points each). As for Budowlani, who played two playoff finals in the last three seasons, they are at the bottom of the table with 0-3 and no points on their account.

Julia Szczurowska and Weronika Centka took leading roles in a surprising road win of Energa MKS Kalisz over ŁKS Commercecon Łódź (3-2). Both poured in 19 points with the latter standing out in blocking as well (4 blocks). Katarzyna Zaroślińska-Król scored 26 points for ŁKS, who suffered the second defeat in the league. Serbian Nađa Ninković made 4 blocks, while Magdalena Saad had 76 % reception (29 % perfect).
