This season, the Polish Women’s Super Cup was played in a bit different form than usual. Instead of the old (Superpuchar Polski im. Andrzeja Niemczyka) event, in which the national championship and cup winners (or cup silver medalists in case championship winners claimed the cup as well) face each other, a special match was played. The new form was accepted due to the absence of Developres SkyRes Rzeszów (face cases of coronavirus), who initially had the right to play.

Given that the Super Cup has been played under the jurisdiction of the Polish Volleyball League since 2015, the event was renamed Superpuchar Polskiej Ligi Siatkówki 2015-2020 and gave a chance to only two teams that have won it in that period to meet each other. Grot Budowlani Łódź added one more trophy to two others (2017, 2018) by beating Grupa Azoty Chemik Police in Lublin in four sets: 3-1 (21-25, 25-19, 25-23, 25-22). Thus, Budowlani became the most titled team in the competition. Chemik remained at two trophies (2015, 2019). In 2016, the tournament wasn’t organized.

Budowlani’s American Veronica Jones-Perry highlighed the match with 27 points and earned the MVP award. Serbian Jovana Brakočević-Canzian scored 17 points for Chemik. Agnieszka Kąkolewska and Iga Wasilewska set up 4 blocks each.
