The reigning Polish women’s club champions Grupa Azoty Chemik Police have signed a contract with a debutant in the country’s national team.
Martyna Czyrniańska, a 17-year-old prospect of the Polish women’s volleyball, is the new member of the country’s powerhouse Chemik. In the previous season, the outside hitter played for SMS PZPS Szczyrk (the club serving to launch players for the base categories of the Poland National Team) in the second division.
Czyrniańska has debuted in the senior national team as the head coach Jacek Nawrocki gave her a chance during the recently concluded FIVB Volleyball Nations League. Interestingly, she made her debut in the international scene before she started playing on the courts of the top division.
Czyrniańska signed a three-year contract with Chemik (until the 2023/24 season).
