The new opposite hitter of Poland’s Aluron is the famous name of the country’s volleyball –  Dawid Konarski. The 31-year-old is one of the most successful Polish players in the last decade. He is one of only five players to have won the FIVB World Championship both in 2014 and 2018. Konarski is also an Olympian from Rio 2016 and a participant in the qualifying tournament on which Poland secured its promotion to the Olympics in Tokyo but is not on the final list of players for the event.

Last season, the one-time MVP of the Polish Cup and Super Cup defended the colors of Cerrad Enea Czarni Radom, becoming the team’s top scorer with 341 points. Aluron made some brutal transfer moves in the off-season prior to Konarski – they hired Serbian-Argentine duo of outside hitters, Kovačević and Conte.
