We saw a stunner in the 13th round of 2021/22 TAURON Liga – after almost six years, Bielsko-Biała managed to outplay Chemik, the reigning champions: 3-2 (29-27, 20-25, 25-20, 23-25, 15-11). The hosts of today’s meeting were ninth after 12 rounds, having won only four matches, while the team commanded by Jacek Nawrocki was the leader of the table, the status it lost after suffering a defeat. It was Chemik’s second loss in the last three matches in TAURON Liga, and their play is a bit alarming at the moment both in the home competitions and in Europe.

The Czech Gabriela Orvošová highlighted Bielsko-Biała with 28 points. Three players set up five blocks on the winning side of the team’s 18: Magdalena Janiuk, Dominika Pierzchała, and Weronika Szlagowska.
