Poland opened their campaign at Hubert Jerzy Wagner Memorial in Kraków with a commanding 3-0 victory over Serbia. The match also marked the return of team captain Bartosz Kurek and middle blocker Norbert Huber.

Kurek led the scoring with 17 points, while Wilfredo Leon added 14. Poland outperformed Serbia both in attack and at the service line, delivering 10 aces compared to Serbia’s two. Drazen Luburić was Serbia’s top scorer with 14 points.
The Wagner Memorial, seen as a key warm-up before the World Championship in the Philippines, features four strong teams: Poland, Serbia, Brazil, and Argentina. Earlier in the day, Argentina stunned Brazil with a 3-0 win.
Poland’s next challenge comes against Brazil, followed by a clash with Argentina.
