The Tauron League 2025/26 season kicked off with a shock as PGE Budowlani Łódź suffered a 2–3 home defeat to ITA Tools Stal Mielec. Despite rallying from two sets down, the Łódź side couldn’t finish the comeback, losing the tie-break 11–15.
