“The atmosphere in the squad is great, the rest has never been a problem. We always get along well on and off the field. We feel the growing tension before this important tournament, but this only works on us favorably because we are determined to work even harder. We train twice a day for 2-2.5 hours. In the morning we have more general development activities, like the gym, and in the afternoon we practice game tactics. We practice settings and play friendlies with each other” said the captain, Iga Chojnacka.
Polish women are in group B together with Italy, Czech Republic, Russia, Germany and Bulgaria.
“Our group is difficult, but I think if we play our game we could win. At the European Championships there are no weak teams. Certainly the most difficult matches will be with Germany and Russiar. Both teams certainly will want to win against us” she added.
