Zaksa
Thanks to this victory, Zaksa returned to the top spot in the table. They won six of seven games played in the Polish Men’s Volleyball Championship so far. Belgian Sam Deroo was the best scorer of the winning team with 14 points and was selected as MVP of the match. Rafał Sobański also had 14 but in Katowice.
The first set was very balanced. PlusLiga newcomers were not frightened by the champions and fought from the beginning to an end but more experienced visitors resolved this part of the game in their favor. It totally determined the course of the rest of the match.
Zaksa coach Ferdinando De Giorgi made a brave move by introducing young receiver Kamil Semeniuk, who took Rafał Buszek’s place in line-up.
