The game was announced as the revenge for the last season’s final of Plus Liga, when Resovia won three matches while Skra achieved only one victory losing the championships of Poland after seven-years domination. However, the very match did not come up to expectations of some volleyball fans, because it occurred to be unilateral.
Asseco Resovia (Champion of Poland) was totally overwhelmed by PGE Skra (Polish Cup) in front of 7000 crowd which filled the new sport hall in Czestochowa.

Set I
At the beginning of the match, Resovia reached a advantage leading 8-5 on the first technical time-out, but it mainly was the result of Skra’s mistakes. Then, Skra regained a control of the game. Great services of Woicki, successful attacks of Wlazly and Atanasijevic, and fantastic defenses of Winiarski let Skra to achieved the significant predominance just before the other technical time-out (16-11). After the break, Skra still was leading not leaving any hopes to Resovia to win (25-21).
Set II
Skra gained an advantage very fast (4-0), however, after four consecutive actions, it was a draw again. Resovia left the play filed with one point ahead on the first technical time-out, but it was only a great beginning of a story with the unpleasant end. Then, Skra gained the lead controlling course of the match at easy. What is more, Wlazly and his friends consistently switch off other players from Rzeszow. At first, Bartman, blocked over and over, was changed by Schops and Tichacek was replaced by Dobrowolski. The set was finished by Plinski (25-23) despite Skra has been already leading 24-20.
Set III
The third set was the most one side. Not only did Skra dominate in attack and service, but the team also presented a wonderful show in the block and defense system. Mariusz Wlazly was smashing a Resovia’s floor. Even Jochen Schops was not able to support Resovia to extend the struggle. The match was finished by impressive attack of Wlazly and he provided the first Polish Supercup in history.
