As WorldofVolley exclusively found out, former Australian Men’s National Team head coach Roberto Santilli will take over PlusLiga team Indykpol AZS Olsztyn in the next season.

A 52-year-old Italian expert will replace compatriot Andrea Gardini on the bench of Olsztyn and return to Poland after two years. Santilli was at the helm of two teams in PlusLiga so far (Jastrzębski Węgiel and MKS Banimex Będzin), winning silver and bronze medal and taking the trophy in the Polish Cup.

Santilli failed to qualify to the 2016 Rio Olympics with Australian NT and did not renew contract with Australian federation afterwards.

Such development practically confirms speculations that Gardini will become new coach of ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle instead of Ferdinando De Giorgi.
