The MVP of last season’s Japanese Men’s Volleyball Championship, Macedonian Nikola Gjorgiev, signed the contract with Polish top division members Politechnika, confirming rumors.
A 28-year-old Gjorgiev can play both as opposite and receiver and came to Politechnika from Toray Arrows with whom he won V-League title in 2016/17.
In his new team, Macedonian athlete will reunite with Antoin Brizard as they were teammates in French Paris Volley in 2014/15.
Besides winning the title in Japan last season, Gjorgiev was also Serbian champion in 2009 and Cup winner in 2008, grabbing both trophies with Radnički Kragujevac.
