Trefl Gdańsk coach Andrea Anastasi could not count on Mateusz Mika in two Polish Men’s Volleyball PlusLiga matches this season and might not have him at the disposal in one more match.

A 26-year-old outside hitter Mateusz Mika is experiencing some muscle problems due to which he missed the last match of Trefl in the national championship against Cuprum Lubin, two days ago. It was already the second match in 11 rounds of PluslIga on which Mika could not perform. The first one was against PGE Skra Bełchatów, a week ago. The Polish National Team member is also questionable for the next PlusLiga meeting against BBTS Bielsko-Biała.

“We did not want to risk, so Mateusz did not play (against Cuprum). This week he will undergo examinations and then we will decide if he will be able to play, although he felt much better on the last training,” Trefl coach Anastasi said.
