Warszawa are currently third-placed in Plus Liga standings, were at No.2 until last weekend when they succumbed to BBTS Bielsko-Biała mostly because their two starters and one backup were sidelined due to injuries. And they have been sidelined for a month or so. In addition to these three players (Bartosz Kwolek, Jan Nowakowski, and Canadian Sharone Vernon-Evans), Warszawa starting libero Damian Wojtaszek also suffered an injury in the above-mentioned encounter. He left the court in the third set.
The Plus Liga website transferred a statement of Warszawa physician who said Wojtaszek twisted his right knee. He will undergo rehabilitation and return to playing in about three weeks.
