In the 2017/18 playoff finals for Plus Liga promotion, the 14th placed side in the regular season Łuczniczka Bydgoszcz defeated AZS Częstochowa in all three games (3-0, 3-0, and 3-1).

Game 3 ended partially 25-20, 25-19, 25-27, and 25-22. Bartosz Filipiak topped Łuczniczka with 27 points (3 aces, 4 kill blocks). Sławomir Stolc scored 15 points for Częstochowa, while Moustapha M’Baye contributed with 4 kill blocks and 70% attack (7/10).

Thus, Częstochowa, who earned the top spot in the 2017/18 Division 2 (I Liga) regular season and beat No.2 Lechia Tomaszów Mazowiecki in the playoff finals by a 3-2 in the series, failed to return to Plus Liga after a one-year absence.

Recall that 15th and 16th placed teams in this season’s Plus Liga, BBTS Bielsko-Biała and Dafi Społem Kielce, respectively, got relegated to I Liga.
