After two defeats in the 2019/20 Superliga Parimatch regular season, the reigning champions Dinamo Moscow have beaten Dinamo-Metar at home by a 3-0 (25-14, 25-14, 25-15) and wrote down their first success in the season. The visitors had a chance to extend the match but squandered 6-1 lead in the third set.

Dinamo Moscow head coach Aleksandr Sukomel finally had American setter Lauren Carlini at the disposal which significantly improved the play of his team regardless of the fact that their rival was the side with the worst record in the league so far (0-3). Carlini has joined the squad of Dinamo Moscow but starting middle blocker Irina Fetisova was absent due to illness.
