RUS W: Uralochka take revenge on Proton to continue to lead Superliga

Uralochka-NTMK beat Proton in the 12th round of the 2019/20 Russian Women’s Volleyball Championship regular season.

In Round 12 of the 2019/20 Superliga Parimatch, Uralochka-NTMK beat Proton in a duel of the teams from the top 4 in the charts in straight-sets, partially 25-22, 25-17, and 25-22. This season, the team from Ekaterinburg lost twice in the competition, one of the defeats came exactly against today’s rivals. Therefore, Uralochka were determined to take revenge and continue to lead in the championship of Russia, having now 31 points (10-2). The team coached by legendary Nikolay Karpol had 4 players in double digits in scoring, which a lot considering the match ended in 3 sets. Kseniya Parubets top-scored for Uralochka with 17 points. Anastasiya Bavykina scored 11 for Proton.

The 2nd placed Lokomotiv and 3rd placed Dinamo-Kazan also recorded wins. The latter extended the winning streak to 12 matches in all competition, 7 in the Superliga.

Minchanka – Leningradka 3-2 (23-25, 25-23, 29-27, 18-25, 15-13)

Lokomotiv – Dinamo Krasnodar 3-1 (26-24, 25-18, 23-25, 25-21)

January 27:

Dinamo Moscow – Zarechie-Odintsovo, 17:00 CET
