RUS M: Lokomotiv defeat 2 title contenders in only 4 days, firming their leadership

Lokomotiv defeated Fakel in the derby of the 2019/20 Russian Men’s Volleyball Championship regular season, and once again pointed out their serious candidacy to win the title.

In only 4 days, the leaders Lokomotiv beat 2 title contenders in the 2019/20 Superliga Parimatch regular season. After prevailing over champions Kuzbass on February 1, the team from Novosibirsk were better than Fakel in the match valid for Round 16, winning in the tie-break: 3-2 (25-18, 22-25, 25-22, 20-25, 15-7).

Lokomotiv achieved 4th victory in a row, further strengthening their lead of the competition as they now have as many as 8 points more than the closets followers in the charts, Dinamo Moscow (have one match less played). Fakel remained 4th in the standings. Sergey Savin top-scored for Lokomotiv with 21 points, while Serbian Marko Ivović served 4 aces.
