This clash will prolong the rivalry opposing Russia’s strongest clubs of the past few years. Back in 2011, the players from Russia’s capital city edged their opponents from Tatarstan to claim the national cup while Dinamo KAZAN eventually got the upper hand in the final series of the national league. The last major clash went also to KAZAN in what was the final act of the 2012 national cup.
“It is a little bit strange that we cross our ways in the CEV Volleyball Champions League” says Valeriya Goncharova, “but we are also happy with this opportunity. They are very close to Moscow, more than any other team, so we do not have to undergo any long journey to play these matches”.
“We are ready for the game and we’ll try to display our best performance” adds Iuliia Morozova.
