Dinamo-Ak Bars and Dinamo Moscow continued their huge winning streaks in the 2020/21 Russian Women’s Superliga Parimatch regular season of 16 and 13 games, respectively. At the same time, with wins today, these two sides practically remained only contenders for the top spot in the regular season.
In a duel of the titleholders and vice-champions, Dinamo Ak-Bars swept Lokomotiv by a 3-0 (25-12, 25-14, 25-18) in a delayed match of Round 15. The 17-year-old outside hitter Arina Fedorovtseva top-scored the Kazan side with 17 points, including as many as 7 aces.
The bronze medalists Uralochka-NTMK experienced the same fate as Lokomotiv in a delayed match of Round 19 against Dinamo Moscow for which Nataliya Goncharova tallied 17 points and Irina Fetisova made 5 blocks.
