Belogorie and Italy National Team member Nelli terminated the contract by mutual agreement.
The 27-year-old opposite hitter took part in 25 games of the Russian Championship, scoring 232 points and becoming the top scorer of the Belgorod side in the regular season. However, his individual performance wasn’t followed by the team’s results as the 3-time CEV Champions League winners finished last in Superliga (14th place), which is their worst placement in history, and will fight for survival in the elite competition in the play-out.
Prior to Nelli, Belogorie parted ways with the remained 2 foreigners – Serbian outside hitter Ivan Borovnjak and Brazilian head coach Marcos Miranda.
