Italy’s Saugella Monza conquered the 2021 Women’s CEV Cup, downing Turkey’s Galatasaray HDI İstanbul in the rematch of the final, too. Thus, they won the 2nd European title in the club history (2019 CEV Challenge Cup).

The team coached by Marco Gaspari needed to take 2 sets (3-0 in the 1st leg at home) to win the trophy in the European club competition’s second-tier and they did it in just 45 minutes of play, reaching 2-0 with a great demonstration of quality and strength. Even though Gaspari sent the lineup composed of backups on the court in the continuation of the match, Monza took the next set as well: 3-0 (25-17, 25-19, 25-19).

Belgian Lise van Hecke top-scored the winning side with 10 points, while Anna Danesi set up 4 blocks. Monza setter Alessia Orro was awarded MVP of the final.
