The players of Lokomotiv equalized the playoff finals of the 2021/22 Women’s Superliga Paribet (Суперлига Парибет Женщины) against Uralochka. Game 2, just like the first match of the series, was held in Kaliningrad, but unlike the previous encounter, the hosts and the defending champs didn’t allow another upset. Lokomotiv closed the match at 3-1, scheduling the third match on May 8 in Ekaterinburg.

Irina Voronkova led the winning side with 21 points, but Yuliya Brovkina’s blocking display was the X-factor as she made 8 of the team’s 19 points on the net. She had 86% attacks (12/14). Cuban Ailama Cesé top-scored Uralochka with 19 points.
