Unlike the last playoff finals of the Russian Women’s Volleyball Championship, when they were highly competitive, Uralochka-NTMK quickly surrendered to Lokomotiv today.
Round 15 of the 2022–23 PARI Superliga for women (2022–23 PARI Суперлига Женщины) brought a replay of the last playoff finals. However, this season, Uralochka have been miles away from that form when they nearly took the title, while Lokomotiv are on fire, and by prevailing today, they recorded the 11th victory in a row in the competition. The reigning champions continued to breathe down the neck of the leaders, Dinamo Moscow, having three points fewer than them in the standings.
Kseniya Parubets highlighted Lokomotiv with 19 points (four blocks). Tatyana Kadochkina served five aces. Viktoriya Gorbacheva had 73% reception (11 digs, 64% excellent). Kseniya Kupryashkina scored 11 points for Uralochka who remained in 10th place.
