The city derby didn’t shake the leaders of the 2022-23 Polish Women’s Volleyball Championship, ŁKS Commercecon Łódź.

Grot Budowlani Łódź was the next team in line to attempt to break ŁKS’s invincibility. Round 11 of the 2022–23 TAURON Liga had very tasty “dishes“ on the menu. The confrontation between the Polish champions and vice-champions, which took place yesterday, was the highlight. And that much brought more drama, not too much though, compared to today’s match that was for the reign in the city of Łódź.

Riding on the momentum of a win against Turkey’s Fenerbahçe Opet in the CEV Champions League, but also on the momentum of the previous 10 games in the league from which they emerged unharmed, ŁKS prevented a surprise against Budowlani.

Italian Valentina Diouf top-scored the winning side with 21 points. Turk Melis Durul tallied 15 for Budowlani.
