
The second round of the Open Russian Women’s Volleyball Championship featured several convincing performances as teams continued their regular-season campaigns.
In Yekaterinburg, Uralochka-NTMK (Sverdlovsk Region) secured a straight-sets victory over Zarechye-Odintsovo (Moscow Region) — 3–0 (25:23, 25:17, 25:17). The hosts maintained control throughout most of the match, showing stability in serve and attack.
In Omsk, Omichka overcame Leningradka (St. Petersburg) in a close five-set match — 3–2 (25:19, 21:25, 19:25, 25:21, 17:15). After falling behind, Omichka rallied to claim the deciding set in front of a full home crowd.
Lokomotiv Kaliningrad also opened the round confidently, defeating Tulitsa Tula 3–0 (25:16, 25:19, 25:15).
The round continues with matches involving Dynamo-Metar, Minchanka, Dynamo-Ak Bars, and Dynamo Moscow. Fourteen teams are competing in the regular season, with the top eight advancing to the playoffs.
