RUS M: FIVB suspended Spiridonov for two matches!

Alexey Spiridonov, the player of Zenit Kazan is suspended for two matches for the Russian national team because of his behavior during the match against Germany at the World Championship 2014, told to the news agency R-Sport, Secretary General of the Russian Volleyball Federation, Alexander Yaremenko.

FIVB President Ari Graça said after the WCH that Spiridonov shot from an imaginary machine gun at the audience after winning the ball and spat at the fan during the match”.

On Monday, the disciplinary committee of the International Volleyball Federation announced the two-match suspension of Alexey Spiridonov for his behavior during the match at World Championship versus Germany. After one episode, player gestured in the direction of the stands, which is regarded as disrespectful to the fans”, – said Yaremenko for R-Sport.
