The European Volleyball Confederation imposed an indefinite transfer ban on Russian Omichka due to debts to former player Nataliya Mammadova, said in an official letter of CEV.
During the summer 2014 Mammadova left Omichka and moved to Swiss Volero. In mid-August it became known that on the basis of the decision of the Tribunal of FIVB, CEV ordered Omichka to pay the debt to Mammadova until 4th September.
As Omichka didn’t do it, CEV sent new letter to this team and the Russian Volleyball federation imposed an indefinite ban on the registration of foreign players. According to the letter, to avoid further sanctions from CEV, Omichka has new deadline – to pay debt within three weeks.
Mammadova is the winner of the World Women’s Club Championship in 2011 and became one of the most productive players of the CEV Champions league.
