Gamova
Gamova opened a sports school in Kazan, the city where she experienced the best moments of her career while wearing the jersey of Dinamo. The school will carry her name.
„The idea came long time ago by mutual agreement with Dinamo Kazan who supported the idea to organize a school where children can learn volleyball,“ Gamova said.
However, Gamova herself has no plans to be a coach, but she is happy to have opportunity to give advises and helpful tips to the young players.
“During the rest period, I gain strength. I’m trying to discover something new. I will comment on the Olympic Games at one TV channel. In general, I can say that I am in search of work,“ she added.
Gamova has been five-time Russian champion, two-time Russian Cup winner and the CEV Champions League gold medalist once in six years while defending the colors of Dinamo.
With the national team of Russia, Gamova became world champion twice. Among indivudual awards, she collected MVP of the FIVB World Championship and CEV Champions League once each, Champions League Best Scorer once…
At the end of the previous season, she suddenly decided to retire.
