Russia was obviously pretty upset because of the defeat against Argentina in the previous round, so they entered the court fully motivated to get back on the winning track. The boys coached by Vladimir Alekno achived that by running over Egypt in straight sets.

Egypt were simply no match to Russia today. The whole game lasted exactly 54 minutes, which is makes it one of the shortest in the recent history of Olympic volleyball tournaments.
