Supercup
Zenit Kazan will face Dinamo Moscow in the 1st round of the Russian Championship, while that match will also be considered as the finals of the Russian Supercup. So, whoever wins it will not just write down two points at the start of the league, but that side will also pick up the very first domestic trophy for the 2016/17 season.
The match is scheduled for September 27.
Zenit Kazan won the Supercup last year, while they are also the team with the most trophies so far in this competition – 4. Dinamo Moscow and Belogorie Belgorod have 2 Supercup trophies each in their cupboards.
