“In Russia, if the result is not satisfying, coach has to take the responsibility. For me, the situation is very simple, the head coach should resign. The greatest responsibility for me is what’s happening inside of me, what I’m seeing in the eyes of my children… I have now discussed yet my future in the national team but soon we will sit down and talk,” confirms Alekno.

Also, Alekno took the opportunity to explain why Markin didn’t play at the Olympic Games.
