In a statement for Russian media, Alekno said that he is impressed with performance of William:
“He is simply phenomenal. I think William is the best Brazilian setter I have ever seen in my life. I am not talking this just because of his amazing performance at the FIVB Men’s Club World Championship 2016. He was also amazing at the Olympic Games when he made many good things whenever he entered the court. His connection with middle blockers is just tremendous,” said Alekno.
Recall that Zenit Kazan got defeated by Sada Cruzeiro in the last two Club World Championship finals.
