CL W: Young Vizura ready for another victory

by WoV

After the great match in Tallinn where Vizura BEOGRAD defeated KOHILA VC at the tie-break, the young Serbian team is ready for the re-match. The players and the coaching staff hope that Vizura can use the home-court advantage to move on to the next round of the 2017 CEV Volleyball Champions League – Women.

Vizura BEOGRAD coach Dragutin Baltic was more than satisfied with the first match and hopes that his team will play much better at home: “We have quality players that are very young but promising. The result cannot be achieved overnight, but it is important that our work is maximised. As for the Champions League, this is evidently a challenge for our young team. The victory we claimed in Estonia is a real success, and we would of course add another major success to our resume if we claimed the second match as well. The big reinforcement is Sladjana Eric who has experience in this kind of competition; Ana Matovic has joined us as well, and as a result, we are little bit stronger now.

The 33-year-old Sladjana Eric smiled while saying that all of her teammates are really good even though they are still so young: “I’m glad to be a part of this team. I think that we should take this game very seriously. We took our lesson from the match in Estonia because we realised that they are a quality and experienced team. They have a few foreigners and couple of them played for a few years in Russia, and we all know what this means and how competitive that national league is. We have to put pressure on them, especially with our serve and block. That is our main weapon. I believe that this team can score another win and move on to the next round where we are most likely to play Russia’s Dinamo KRASNODAR.
