Since the beginning, the health problems were mentioned, but there was no precise information. At the first moment, it was considered that the strenuous season in Russia had a huge impact on Brdjovic’s organism, but the terrible news say that he has a cardiac arrhythmia.
“It’s a difficult situation for me but I hope it’s going to be fine and hope to return to the practice in a couple of months. The doctors have found irregular heartbeat twice at a pulse of 168. They didn’t want to give me a permission to join the training sessions and I completely understand their decision. I will not be practicing until the middle of October when the new control is set, then we will what is the situation with my heart,” says Aleksa Brdjovic.
Such epilog led to a contract termination with the Turkish team Arkas.
“I was in Izmir, meeting a very nice people there. I completed a medical exam and it is interesting that my heart was good there. However, when they saw the results from the tests in Belgrade they didn’t want to risk anything and they have confirmed that I have to take a break. I understand the situation, the logical move was to terminate a contract with a big desire to play in Izmir one day,” says Brdjovic.
WorldofVolley wishes Aleksa Brdjovic a speedy recovery.
