Arequipa gymnasium
The „Arequipa“ gymnasium in the city of the same name in Peru, that has the capacity of 8,000 seats, was sold out for the matches (three matches in total) of the upcoming South American Qualification Tournament for the 2018 FIVB World Championship!
There is only one more spot vacant for the World Champs in Japan from South America, out of two spots in general reserved for the CSV (Confederación Sudamericana de Voleibol) representatives, and four national teams will fight for it in the Copa LC Perú (the qualification tournament) in a single round-robin system from October 13 to October 15 in Arequipa: the hosts Peru, Argentina, Colombia and Uruguay.
Brazil secured their berth by winning the 2017 South American Championship in Cali, Colombia.
