The “Yellow Angels”, seeded third, won a decisive Game 3 of the 2018-2019 Vestel Venus Sultanlar Ligi playoff semifinals against No.6 seed Türk Hava Yolları (Turkish Airlines) in straight sets (partially 25-16, 25-22, 26-24) to close the series with a 2-1.
Fenerbahçe’s Cuban Melissa Vargas scored game-high 19 points, including six aces, while Azerbaijani opposite hitter Polina Rahimova finished the match with 18 points (four kill blocks) for THY.
