The second seed VakıfBank tied the series of the 2018-2019 Vestel Venus Sultanlar Ligi playoff finals with the top seed Eczacıbaşı at 1-1.

Vakif prevailed at their home ground VakıfBank Sports Palace in four sets, partially 16-25, 25-10, 25-18, 25-17 so the series now moves to Eczacıbaşı’s courtyard where Game 3 and Game 4 will be played. If necessary, Eczacıbaşı will host Game 5 as well.

zhu (22 p) and ebrar (13 p) together seemed effective while sloetjes on the bench throughout the game. btw some vakif news:

1- zhu is leaving vakif, but just because chinese olympic committee recalled all chinese athletes abroad for 2020, so zhu is obliged to play in china next season, but probably return to vakif in 2021

2- Kelsey Robinson is said to become a yellow angel next season although not confirmed yet

Re: @aerler I think replacing Sloetjes is s good move. She wasn’t effective as an attacker and her back row defence is not strong. It also allows Milena Rašić to be the middle blocker again and she is the best middle blocker for the team. I am surprised Kelsey Robinson didn’t go back to Italy.

Kim isn’t helping Tijana, i think it was very bad transfer, to sign Kim for a million. I would rather bring some Gabi for less money or bunch of other hiters. Both teams need some good transfers. Last year it was pleasure to watch Turkish League, this year Italian is much more enjoying to see.
